It was made by remaking the interior decoration of an abandoned shrine where are a historic shrine in Niigata prefecture.
The thick string of twisted straw is “SHIMENAWA,” which protects the sacred sanctuary and prays for a disease-free from disaster. This was made to order by a workshop in Miyazaki Prefecture, which is dedicated to shrines and temples.
The bell is an old bell used at a shrine in Yamaguchi prefecture. I made it in a mini size so that you can ring a bell every day and visit the shrine inside the house.
