ADAM LINN

United States | B.1995

Adam Linn is an artist working in drawing and printmaking based in Pittsburgh, PA. He holds a BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design. His works often depict flamboyant contortions of an anthropomorphic world that probes how seduction can operate in the grotesque and how this relationship mirrors queer self-discovery and intimacy. His magenta hued skin with a suspicious grin pussycat character challenges the dichotomies between the real and imagined, feminine and masculine, as well as hidden and exposed.

Adam has completed residencies at the Vermont Studio Centre in Johnson, VT, the Anderson Ranch Arts Centre in Snowmass Village, CO, and the Distillery Programme at the Brewhouse Association in Pittsburgh, PA. Linn has exhibited at Below Grand, 5-50 Gallery, Ortega Y Gasset Projects, Trestle Art Space, Nonfinito Gallery and Shin Haus of Shin Gallery in NYC, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg, PA and Bunker Projects, Brewhouse Association, Imagebox, Framehouse and Jask, Pullproof and G1CW galleries in Pittsburgh, PA. He has exhibited internationally with Eve Leibe Gallery in London, UK, JPS Gallery in Hong Kong. He will be pursuing his Masters of Fine Arts at SUNY Purchase in New York starting this autumn.
