Honoka started her career as an artist while working as a planning designer for a general goods and toy manufacturer (now retired). Started working as an artist in earnest after participating in the Yusuke Nakamura Illustration Class. Received the Independent Tokyo 2022 Jury's Special Prize (Masahiro Takahashi Award and Koji Yoshida Award). Graduated from Doshisha Women's University.
Honoka says she can temporarily escape from everyday sadness and suffering by fantasising. Sometimes people want to escape from reality. At such times, art and culture that inspire fantasy and imagination can save our lives and our hearts. Masks and disguises are good luck charms, and have been believed to be inhabited by gods, spirits and animal deities since ancient times, and are considered to be a medium that connects our world to the other world and takes us to other worlds. Our flesh and blood bodies cannot go to imaginary worlds, but we create them as we feel them, moving back and forth between reality and fantasy, where happiness and fear intersect.
