Opening on May 2nd at JPS Gallery Tokyo, "Remember Love" is an unprecedented exhibition that merges musical legacy, visionary pop art, and a profound environmental message. This highly anticipated showcase unveils a fateful collaboration between Asia's reigning pop superstar, Ayumi Hamasaki, and SUPER Love DOG, the evocative pop-art creation of her longtime art director, Shinichi HarA.
ayumi hamasaki, an iconic diva representing Asia, continues to shine beyond generations and borders, her brilliance only growing stronger with time. Shinichi HarA, who served as the art director for her key visuals for approximately 13 years since her debut—and the creator of the iconic “A” mark—now brings a new collaborative artwork to life.
In this piece, the symbolic “A” that represents ayumi hamasaki—whom HarA deeply respects as “the ultimate expressionist among Japanese musicians”—is reunited by fate with SUPER Love DOG, a character born from HarA’s own artwork, a dog that quietly cries out for love.
With SUPER Love DOG’s call of “LOVE! LOVE!”, the work carries a message: never forget the love that exists within everyone. It is HarA’s hope that this message will resonate across the world.
This world is built on a fractal structure. Great love spreads into small acts of love, and small acts of love resonate into something greater. Even when the world appears to be shrouded in darkness, even when fear seems to overwhelm what lies ahead, if you can find even the smallest piece of love, it will connect to a love vast enough to embrace the entire planet.
So no matter when, no matter where, no matter the situation— Never forget love.
※SUPER Love DOG is modeled after “Benio,” a rescue dog once cared for by HarA.
