Working across medium, Arashi M often utilises computer graphics (CG) and other natural materials such as wood, waste and plants in his works, recalling his other life passion – environmental conservation and the search of the traditional Japanese landscape.
Born in the Shōwa Era, the artist uses his reproductions of traditional Japanese toys and festive games to transcend a simpler time when electronic entertainment, smartphones, computers and video games did not exist. His works are a nostalgic trip for the audience, allowing them to reminisce a time when human beings are not so distanced.
Born in Tokyo, Japan, Arashi worked as the art director for an animation production company before opening his own production company. He currently lives and works in Tokyo.
