Mao Yuqiu, who is currently based in Paris, creates works that are mainly in the form of installations and comics dealing with interpersonal relationships and the struggles that arise from them. Her creations are a response to the various forms of microaggression she observed throughout shifting power dynamics within social groups. And by transforming such gestures into everyday objects, she aims to satisfy the desire for power even for the slightest moment.
