UKIYOEMON MITOMOYA

Japan | B.1981

Ukiyoemon Mitomoya’s paintings depict the Ukiyo-e, images of the floating world in this day and age. His works are a continuation of the traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e as he integrates the traditional artistic style into his portrayal of modern life. He makes sense of the complex situations at the current moment by depicting everyday urban life with his own humorous and sometimes satirical commentary, making this traditional culture more exciting and accessible to the new generation.

Ukiyoemon was born in Osaka, Japan. He has worked with numerous international companies to showcase his artistic talents, including Toyota and Paris Saint-Germain FC.
