I often think of how mysterious creatures are hiding on the underside of a leaf whilst holding their breath, how the flowers nearby are smiling at you, and how the birds perched on a telephone pole are telling you something...

Perhaps, at every turn, something is sending us a message but we are unaware of it. No, it has become impossible for us to notice it. Sometimes I feel that way. 

During the time I spent with my child, I felt that although he did not know much about this world and understood only a few words, he was very forthcoming and pure in the way he related to the things around him.

He tries to get to know this world in various ways, such as touching, smelling and listening. Sometimes roughly, sometimes gently, sometimes carefully. Getting in touch with the world in multiple ways and focusing on that interest is exciting. 

Adults have somehow come to think they understand this world, but perhaps he knows more than we do. 

So I drew this series in hopes that I could express, even if only a little, the appearance, the voice, and the existence of what we cannot see, hear or feel.
